Highway 101, also known as the Sunshine Coast Highway from Gibsons (the Ferry at Langdale is the real beginning of it.) Egmont Road takes you to Egmont just before the ferry terminal at Earls Cove.
The Coast is known for its B&B's. There is something for everyone. There are a number of small hotels that are perfectly acceptable and some higher end resorts along the shoreline. Expedia/ Trip Advisor, etc., can do a better job of showing them all.

So many. For tradition go to Molly's Reach in Gibsons: Good basic pub food. The Grasshopper Pub near Madeira Park is newly renovated and is well regarded. Ice Cream is available everywhere, just watch for signs.

Overall: Must Do!

Gorgeous views in various places. 80km/h highway with lot of twists and turns at the north end beyond Halfmoon Bay. Ferry traffic can make the highway busy every couple of hours. Some go below the speed limit slowing everyone down. Relax...it's the Sunshine Coast...
