We took Hwy 2 north of Edmonton to Hwy 651, which turns into Hwy 28.
Continue on Hwy 28 until Hwy 36, head north on Hwy 36 towards Lac La BIiche. Take Hwy 881, the old highway that has new pavement all the way to Frot Mac
We stayed over night in Lac La Biche, Lac La Biche Inn. In Fort Mc Murray we stayed a Quality Inn.
Favorite Restaurant / Pub / Place to stop?:
We bought picnic food at the grocery store to have a picnic down at the park on the lake. In Fort Mc Murray we ate at the Black Horse or was it hte Dark Knight HAHA
Fuel readily available?:
Yes fuel was readily available. Fuel up before you leave Lac La Biche, there is one fuel stop on the highway.

We brought hwy 63 back down, on a Saturday so not much traffic, it is always an option to take the Hwy 881 back down if Hwy 63 is really busy.
